When you get up!
Wash your eyes gently with cold water. Cold Water soothes eyes and maintains the moisture of the eyes, thus keep them healthy and safe. Isn't it too simple just to wash your eyes with cold water???
Always do remember to wash your eyes 4-5 times a day!
When at work!
Be careful when you are at work, i.e., at office in front of your system. Computer system emits harmful radiations, which takes away the moistness of eyes and thus making them dry. This is too dangerous for eyes and leads to irritation, or in extreme cases loss of vision.
Always make it a point to not focus directly into the monitor for more than 20 minutes. Now that doesn't mean that you should stop doing work, the bottom line here is not to look continuously for 20 minutes. Just try to move your eyes after every 20 minutes.
This is too simple and you don't have to get up from your place after every half an hour or so; rather try to look at a far off point concentrate for a minute and you are done.
While driving!
Wear glasses while driving a 2-wheeler. It protects your eyes from dust and pollution.
Always remember to wash your eyes only with cold water, before going to bed. It's good if you have some natural eye drops or rose water to put regularly before sleeping.

Consuming lots of fruits and vegetables can also help taking care of our eyes. Besides, there are certain other things that need special consideration too like we should avoid wearing contact lenses for more than 19 hours,placing slices of cucumber on our eyelids before going to sleep in order to prevent puffiness, doing eye exercises, avoiding reading in dim light and so on.
